Tarbert Taxis are a Private Hire Company, based in Tarbert Loch Fyne & have been serving the community for over thirty years, by the previously known and trusted company as 'D & E Henderson Taxis & Private Hire'. Our aim is to continue the same quality of service & improve on it where possible.
For local residents &
visitor groups, trips can be arranged for that special day or night
out.
Tarbert
Taxis has a nine seater (8 passengers) VW Transporter
minibus & a five seater (four passengers) Skoda Octavia car, both
with large luggage capacity, so for single passengers to larger
numbers, we can help.
For us to
give the best service, we request clients to prearrange booking
with as much notice as is practicable - especially for larger
numbers. We always endeavour to collect as quickly as
possible.
Should you have a larger group, we can arrange extra vehicles. Cyclists & walkers are catered for by taking their bags to various destinations, to allow local touring without the load.

The Kyles of Bute from
Tarbert
For visitors to the Argyll area Tarbert is central to Oban, Campbeltown & Inveraray, to mention a few local popular destinations. We are close to the local ferries for Portavadie, Kennacraig & Claonaig serving Cowal, Pentlin Sound, Islay, Jura, Gigha and Arran.
‘Airport runs’ are available to Glasgow & Campletown. Also in Tarbert we have a very good Tourist Office and should you wish to visit local history sites such as Kilmartin, where ancient Scottish Kings were crowned, don’t hesitate to ask. The well known Crinan Canal is well worth a visit and is just short run towards Ardrishaig.
If you are arriving in a
sailing or motor boat, we can extend your visit by taking you to
one of our top local hotels such as
Stonefield Castle or a good local restaurant or pub. You
may also have a requirement to get home and leave your boat in the
capable hands of the Tarbert Harbour Office or
even a simple drive around the district to soak in the breathtaking
views! We are on call to help!
